Dr Kirk Lewis, Chiropractor
Dr Kirk Lewis is a Chiropractor who graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in 2006. After finishing chiropractic college Dr Lewis moved to Edmonton and owned a chiropractic clinic for six years. Dr. Kirk Lewis moved to the Okanagan, in 2012, with his wife, Shannon, and their three children to participate in a healthy and active lifestyle. Dr Kirk has an interest in soft issue rehabilitation using various techniques such as shockwave therapy and Graston Technique and has a new interest in rehabilitation of vestibular disorders and therapy for chronic pain. Dr Kirk Lewis uses various chiropractic techniques for therapy including the activator, IQ impulse tool, and drop table.
Kari Dul, Registered Speech-Language Pathologist
Kari grew up in Alberta and received her Master of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Alberta in 2005. She has extensive experience working with adult clients with communication and swallowing disorders in a variety of public and private practice settings. Prior to relocating to the Okanagan, Kari worked primarily as a Clinical Educator in collaboration with the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Alberta. Specialized areas of interest include evidence-based Voice Therapy and Dysphagia Management (swallowing disorders).
Outside of the office, Kari spends her time exploring the Okanagan with her husband and two golden doodles. She is a certified Iyengar Yoga instructor, teaching and practicing yoga on and off her mat.
Kari is excited to be joining the team at Okanagan Synergy Health and Wellness and looks forward to helping clients reestablish a healthy, functional voice.
Shannon Lewis, Registered Speech-Language Pathologist
Shannon Lewis graduated from the University of Redland's in Southern California with a Master's degree in Communication Disorders. She was a recipient of the Philip Kaddoo award for outstanding academic and clinical achievement. Shannon relocated to Vernon, BC with her husband Kirk Lewis and their three children. Together they opened the doors to Okanagan Synergy Health and Wellness. They are driven to provide the best care and support to the individuals they serve. Shannon provides speech and language services to the peadiatric and adult populations. In past years Shannon has had special interest in traumatic brain injuries, feeding and swallowing, selective mutism and more recently Orofacial myofunctional disorders.
Jordan Lawrence, Registered Holistic Nutritionist
Jordan is a registered Holistic Nutritionist, and a recent graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. A holistic approach to health uses evidence-based techniques for diet, lifestyle, and detoxification. It evaluates the complete health history, emotional state, lifestyle habits and current diet to determine the root cause of health issues. Jordan can help you reach your health goals through careful evaluation of diet and lifestyle, identification of nutritional imbalances, and creation of an individualized wellness program.
